Workshop Overview:
Creating an Instructor Introduction Video in Canva

Welcome! This page includes my short instructor introduction video (I am horrible on camera, but I did my best!) and the Canva template you’ll use during the workshop. The goal of this session is to help faculty and staff create a simple, welcoming introduction video that can be used in Canvas courses or other student-facing spaces. It can also be part of you intro email before the semester starts.

During the workshop, you’ll see an example video, learn how it was created, and explore how to customize a Canva template to fit your own style and needs. The template is intentionally designed to be simple, flexible, and accessible, so you can easily adapt it without prior design experience.

To fully participate, please create a free Canva account before the workshop. This will allow you to copy the template and follow along during the session. You’re welcome to make changes that work best for you, and you can record or finish your video after the workshop if needed.

After the workshop is finished, I will upload the recording from the session here.
